Forex VPS

What is a VPS?

A VPS stands for Virtual Private Server. As the name implies it is your own private server which is hosted in the cloud/on the Internet. Like any server it is always on 24/7 and constantly online. Think of your VPS as a personal computer that you rent on a monthly basis.

This computer is located within our data centre based in the UK. You then access your computer through the internet and install your MT4 terminals so they run 24hrs per day.

Why Do I Need a VPS Service for My Trading?

Any Forex EA requires the MT4 terminal to be running 24/7 with the EA attached to a chart for it to function. If the MT4 terminal is offline or shutdown the EA ceases to function.

With our VPS you can install your MT4 terminal with our Receiver EA and it let it run 24/7. You can access your VPS using the Remote Desktop Connection at any time and you will see that your MT4 is still running as you left it.

Using a VPS

As a VPS is a server in a different physical location to yourself, you need to access it remotely over the Internet. To do this we use a standard Windows feature known as ‘Remote Desktop’ or RDP.

The VPS Experience

When you successfully logon to your VPS through RDP, the window will expand and you will be presented with a Windows Desktop. This is the Desktop on your VPS. It is similar to a standard Windows Desktop and works in the same way. For our purposes, you will then need to install MT4 on it.
