1About this policy
This policy explains how Traders4Traders Pty Ltd (ACN 139140373) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
By using our website, platform or services you consent to the handling of your information as described here.
2What we collect
Account and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, country and the login credentials you create.
Payment information: billing details and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our systems.
Trading data: where you connect a MetaTrader 5 account, we collect trade history, positions, performance metrics and account activity to populate your dashboard, journal and analytics.
Assessment and enquiry responses: your answers to the Trader Readiness Assessment, and the qualification answers you provide when booking a call — capital available, trading experience and intended timeline.
Usage information: pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and IP address.
Communications: emails, support tickets, chat transcripts and, where a session is recorded and you are told in advance, recordings of live sessions or mentoring calls.
3How we collect it
Directly from you when you create an account, purchase a product, complete an assessment, book a call, contact support or participate in our community.
Automatically as you use the platform, through analytics and cookies.
From your MetaTrader 5 account, where you have connected it, via the MT5 Bridge.
From third parties in limited circumstances, such as our payment processor confirming a transaction.
4Why we use it
To provide the services you have purchased, including platform access, signals, software licensing, evaluations and mentoring.
To process payments, manage subscriptions and handle refunds.
To personalise mentoring and support. Assessment and qualification answers are used so that conversations start informed rather than beginning from nothing.
To communicate with you about your account, billing, sessions and service changes.
To send marketing communications where you have consented. You can opt out at any time using the link in any marketing email.
To improve our products, understand how the platform is used, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
5Who we share it with
Payment processing: our payment provider, to take payment and manage subscriptions.
Customer relationship and scheduling: GoHighLevel, which holds contact records, booking information and the qualification answers you provide when booking a call.
Hosting and infrastructure: our website and platform hosting providers.
Communication tools: email delivery, live chat and community platforms including Discord and Zoom.
Analytics and advertising: analytics providers and, where you have consented, advertising platforms for measurement and audience purposes.
Professional advisers, and regulators or law enforcement where we are required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
6Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we disclose your information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
[LEGAL — list each provider and the country in which data is held, as required under APP 8.]
7Marketing communications
We send marketing emails only where you have consented, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that works.
Opting out of marketing does not stop service communications — billing notices, session reminders, security alerts and changes to terms, which we send because they relate to a service you hold.
We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
8Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, understand how the platform is used, and measure the performance of our advertising.
Where we use advertising pixels, these may allow advertising platforms to recognise you across sites. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some functionality may not work without them.
9How we protect it
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricting internal access to those who need it.
No system is entirely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
10How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as you hold an account and afterwards for as long as we need it to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
[LEGAL — specify retention periods, particularly for trading data and financial records.]
11Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.
You may also ask us to delete information we no longer need. Some information must be retained to meet legal obligations, and we will tell you where that applies.
Requests can be sent to privacy@traders4traders.com. We will respond within 30 days. [CONFIRM: privacy contact address.]
12Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at privacy@traders4traders.com and we will investigate and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published here with the date it was last updated. Where a change is significant we will notify you by email.
